Is all of WIRED’s magazine content available online?
Almost all of WIRED’s magazine content is published on WIRED.com and in our app. Issues are available for purchase but are free for subscribers. More information about our digital edition is available here.
Do I need a subscription to access WIRED.com?
Web-only content and most magazine content are available on WIRED.com. All readers have access to the homepage, section front pages, and four articles per month at no charge before being asked to subscribe. Subscribers get unlimited access to WIRED.com, as well as subscriptions to the print and digital editions of the magazine. To learn more about our paywall, see this note from our editors.
What are other benefits I receive with a subscription to WIRED.com?

If I subscribe to WIRED.com, do I have to receive the print edition?
Most WIRED.com subscribers choose to receive a free print subscription, but if you choose not to, you will have the opportunity to opt out when you subscribe. If you wish to no longer receive the print subscription, you can email subscriptions@wiredmag.com or call 1-800-769-4733.
Can I give a gift subscription?
Yes, gift subscriptions are available on our subscriptions page.
Why do I need to “sign in” and “verify my subscription” on WIRED.com?
In order to have unlimited access on WIRED.com, you need to have a WIRED.com login and a valid subscription. If it is your first time signing in to WIRED.com, you may need to verify your subscription. At that time, your subscription will be associated with your WIRED.com login and you’ll have unlimited access to WIRED.com and to our magazine app for tablets at no extra charge.
How do I make changes to my email address or password?
After signing in, clicking the My Account link will take you to your profile page, where you can manage your WIRED.com account information, including your email address and password.
I forgot my password, or need to reset it. How can I do that?
If you are not already signed in, click the Sign In link. The next screen includes a Forgot Password? link, which will lead you through the process of resetting your password. If you are signed in, click the My Account link where you can manage your WIRED.com account information.
How do I change my payment information or delivery address?
Once you have logged in, payment information and delivery addresses can be changed on this page.
How can I cancel my subscription?
You can cancel your subscription by clicking here. If you canceled your subscription, but are still receiving bills, please note that it takes a few days for a cancellation to become effective. Therefore, if you receive any invoices after you have canceled, please disregard them. What is the status of trackers on WIRED.com?
WIRED.com includes trackers that allow us to measure our traffic and ad placements, and scripts to enable social media sharing.

What steps does WIRED.com take to prevent malware?
We test every direct and programmatic advertisement for malicious tags using a combination of automated scanning and manual review. We use technology from Advalidation, DFP, The Media Trust, and more to programmatically scan for malicious code. We require our programmatic partners to use HTTPS, which protects the privacy and security of our users. In addition, we use IAB’s SafeFrame to further secure the line of communication between our site and ads, and provide an ads.txt file to ensure transparency in our programmatic advertising providers.
(Since we started testing we have not discovered any malware or received any complaints.)
I don’t want to see ads with Flash in them. How can I turn it off?
To view WIRED.com with no Flash advertising, disable Flash in your web browser.
